We are looking for a dynamic Chemical Account Manager to join our team and help drive business growth within an assigned geographic territory.
This role involves selling chemicals, ingredients, and services while building and maintaining relationships with commercial, industrial, and technical customers.
The Chemical Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, demonstrating the competitive value of our products and services. As the face of our company, this individual will be instrumental in improving customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Calls on representatives, professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective customer of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates and implements sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
- Schedules appointments to explain products and services
- Informs regular customers of new products or services, market trends and price changes.
- Calls on prospective customers to solicit new
- Explains merits of programs to persuade customers to purchase
- Sets up merchandise and sales promotion display or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Attempts to resolve problems encountered with customer’s
- Coordinates with suppliers to provide needed products to customers in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate customer needs and changes internally to purchasing, customer service and management including forecast changes, credit concerns, competitive data, etc.
- Complete customer profiles for all new accounts and update existing accounts as needed.
- Assist District Manager in growing operations
- Handle credit issues as they arise
- Submit expense reports
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Marketing or other related science or field.
- 3-5 years B2B sales experience and/or training
- CRM experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
