The Master Data Governance and Maintenance Manager is responsible for driving the business strategy by ensuring the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of high-quality, reliable master data. This role is pivotal in establishing a culture where master data is inherently trusted, facilitating seamless business transactions, informed decision-making, and operational excellence.

Principal Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic vision for master data governance, fostering a culture of trust and reliability in data across the organization.
Data Quality Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of master data to ensure it meets high standards of quality, consistency, and reliability.
Data Governance Frameworks: Establish, manage, and lead the data governance frameworks and Data Council to align with the company’s business objectives, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Process Optimization: Strategically manage and optimize business processes related to data governance to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
Leadership and Guidance: Lead and manage data governance activities, providing direction and support to teams to enhance data quality and protection.
Compliance and Protection: Ensure the protection of sensitive data and information assets, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data-driven decision-making and support the organization’s strategic goals.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or an IT-related field.
Master’s degree in computer science or a related field as a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in business process management and/or data governance.
At least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in leading strategic process improvement and data governance initiatives.
Experience with process management tools (e.g., BPM, Six Sigma) and data governance frameworks.

Skills:

Deep understanding of data quality management, data protection, and compliance.
Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire teams.
Strategic thinker with expertise in process optimization and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to foster a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement.
Proactive problem-solving skills with a strategic vision for data governance.
Proficiency in process mapping, data governance software tools, and data analytics.
Strong project management skills to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
