We are delighted to be working with a Specialist Chemical Manufacturer who is looking for an Account Manager to cover Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee with chemical sales into the Industrial Water Treatment sector.

The purpose of this role is to drive profitable growth, strengthen customer retention, and build strategic relationships within assigned accounts, with a specific focus on Water Treatment Solutions for the Memphis area and surrounding market. This role manages and grows existing business, identifies and develops new opportunities, and supports customers in improving water treatment performance, compliance, and operational efficiency. It serves as the primary commercial point of contact for account strategy, application growth, and cross-functional alignment while ensuring financial and operational performance supports company objectives.

Revenue Growth & Account Expansion

  • Drive year-over-year revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Identify and commercialize new applications within existing and new customers.
  • Prevent attrition and actively maintain relationships to support long-term retention.
  • Report sales forecasts using Connected Planning (Ackumen) and manage opportunities in Dynamics.
  • Monitor and manage pipeline health, including tracking the number and size of opportunities, conversion rates, and time spent at each stage.
  • Drive acquisition of new applications by identifying and securing wins.
  • Increase share of wallet across accounts within the region through strategic account development and relationship management.
  • Manage orders and other requirements by communicating effectively with customers or distributors.

Application Reliability & Service Oversight

  • Monitor application results and conduct tests for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues quickly.
  • Write and maintain accurate service reports.
  • Maintain and manage customer equipment to ensure uptime and reliability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or any Engineering area or Business Administration
  • Job Experience: 2 – 3 years
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and applications related to water and wastewater treatment.
  • Demonstrated experience in cooling water, boiler water, and utility treatment programs.
  • Proven experience selling, applying, or supporting specialty chemical solutions in industrial manufacturing environments.

***Please note whilst this role is remote, you must be located within Tennessee and be happy to travel within the state for client visits and business development activities.
