Our client is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer who can manage the environmental compliance, conduct assessments and implement programs to minimize environmental impact. You will have close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance are met.

Their mission is to drive leading performance in EHS and Product Stewardship to protect and beautify our customers’ operations and products, protect our employees, and preserve the environments in which we operate. This role will be on site at a manufacturing site in the Mojave desert

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor environmental regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Manage and support Title V reporting and permit renewal process.
  • Maintain environmental training programs (Air, Waste, Wastewater, Storm Water, SPCC).
  • Oversee waste management program.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Educate and train employees on environmental issues and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, consulting firms and other stakeholders regarding environmental permits and regulations.
  • Manage emergency response and contingency plans.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Promote sustainable practices within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience focused on environmental compliance; Familiarity with Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in environmental monitoring and reporting tools.
