A large Speciality Chemical manufacturer is looking for a Business Manager to focus their sales efforts on emerging markets.
Previous experience within Paper / Pulp and Water Treatment preferred with consideration also taken for those with a broader experience within chemical manufacturing.
We are looking for a Business Manager type leader with experience in selling more commodity type chemistries B2B from company manufacturing assets. So in role person would have experience in the following areas:
- Understanding the market for the products he/she will be selling into
- Drivers for price management – raw materials and indices driving prices
- Work closely with Purchasing on pricing, indices, and import statistics to watch business volumes and related movements of chemistries in focus
- Strong communicator works with senior managers in customers to negotiate and drive sales and outcomes. They will also be involved in key supplier meetings
- Market intelligence and commercial insights – Manage closely volume and market demand and with this pricing
- Assess opportunities for manufacturing extension as required – new products, extend production volumes etc
- Plant/Commercial alignment and aligning on production planning, debottlenecks – experience with cross functional leadership
- Use of digital and digital tools for data analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Chemistry or Pulp/Paper science. (Others may be considered depending on experience)
